Nothing about links to 9/11 itself.

core principals:

Quote:
1. We want America to be safe, for several reasons. First, America has given many of us freedom of speech, religious freedom, and the opportunity to make a living and take care of our families. Second, the safety of American Muslims is intertwined with the safety of our American neighbors; we don’t want our families and friends to be blown up, which could happen if there are future attacks in the U.S. Third, we don’t want to be victims of a backlash (discrimination, hate crimes, and restrictions on civil liberties), which could happen if there are future attacks in the U.S.

2. We want the Muslim world to be safe, for several reasons. First, we have close ties to the Muslim world. Many of us have family in the Muslim world. And spiritually, Muslims in the Muslim world are our brothers and sisters in faith. We care for them, and we want them to be safe. Second, a safe Muslim world is less likely to be hostile to America than a Muslim world that feels threatened. The safety of American Muslims is intertwined with the safety of Muslims around the world; the less safe they feel, the more vulnerable to attack we, and other Americans, become.

3. American Muslims must have an open and honest discussion amongst ourselves, at the grassroots, about how we feel about America, and what, if anything, we can do and are willing to do to help make America safer. Specifically, we must determine whether American Muslims at the grassroots want America to be safe and prosperous, and, if so, what domestic security measures American Muslims are willing to support to ensure that there is never another terrorist attack in America.

4. The U.S. government must try to undermine the ability of Al Qaeda to collect financial resources and to recruit human resources to be used against America. The U.S. government can do this by demonstrating a genuine concern for the well-being of average Muslims overseas, and by eliminating those grievances in the Muslim world that turn Muslims against America and towards Al Qaeda.

5. We evaluate American policies, foreign and domestic, based on whether they make America more safe or less safe. We believe that American leaders should put aside political considerations and ideological considerations, and that they too should evaluate American policies, foreign and domestic, based on whether those policies make America more safe or less safe.
