9/11 campaigners march in Ipswich
16 June 2007 | 11:53
CONSPIRACY theorists marched through Ipswich town centre today campaigning for an investigation into the 9/11 terror attacks.
Around 15 people from the Ipswich Truth Campaign took part in the march where they denounced the official story of the 2001 atrocity as a “pack of lies”.
The event was also designed to raise awareness of a talk being given in Ipswich by William Rodriguez, a janitor working at the World Trade Centre on September 11 who was later decorated for his heroism in rescuing survivors.
Mr Rodriguez claims he heard an explosion prior to the plane striking the North Tower and believes it was in fact the US government which was behind the attacks.
Visit www.eveningstar.co.uk for video footage of an interview with event organiser Mark Elmy.

Who wrote that it was "conspiracy theorists" who marched? I hope the group in Ipswich are not describing themselves as such.
Is this an article from a local newspaper or a press release from us?

Oh come on Noel, of course it wasn't our description of ourselves, just as no one said that William believes the US Government was behind it - he clearly says he doesn't know and refuses to speculate. The reporter has got the wrong end of the stick and i have e-mailed him asking him to make the correction. There will also be a short video of him interviewing me posted on their site soon.
To be fair to the Star, they had ignored our press releases, then one of their photographers saw us gathering and phoned a reporter to get him up to meet us. I was chuffed that they came to have a look.
All in all we gave out about 500 DVDs and leaflets, and met some very interested people. We then went on to do a flyover banner hanging on the A14. Photos should be posted soon on the East Anglia Truth myspace page.
It would be good to see this sort of thing going off in other towns and cities too (outside London). |

Glad to hear it, but if posters on this forum fail to write whether they are quoting or what they are quoting from, readers can get the wrong end of the stick.
I suspected that that was the usual media distortion, but it is a good idea to point that out.
Well done for organising the demo and getting publicity. |
