Does anyone know if Google use cookies to personalise your Google Video experience? Or can someone go to the Google video mainpage and let me know what the top films they see for each section? I'd hate to have to delete all cookies for the sake of that kind of privacy Sad

Google does use cookies - I'm surprised you have to ask.

I have configured my browser (Safari) to deletes cookies every time I quit it. When I searched Google Video for Calum's London presentation (which I had recorded and uploaded - so I knew it was there) didn't show up in searches because Google filters searches for pornographic content by default (SafeSearch). It wasn't until I changed my Google preferences by switching off SafeSearch that the video could be found. Evidently, somebody had labelled it as pornographic.

You ought to be able to find the Google cookie quite easily but I assume that you are on a PC so I wouldn't like to guess where they are stored.

Trouble with alot of cookies is that its not always straight forward, they oftern have different names to the application your using Sad
I suppose that I'm not too bothered about what they know about my viewing tastes but I would like to know what the general population like to see Wink
