911 Truth Bristol, Adrian and Co., are putting on an event with films, talks and a bar on Saturday 5th July 2008. Venue to be announced. From gossip it sounds like a good reason to be in Bristol that weekend. Something of a tidy extravaganza.

The AGM's the day after from midday to four I believe. Again we have no firm venue yet.

Agenda

Welcome and introductions
Report of events and finances from 07/08
All serving officers stepped down.
One proposal from Ian Henshall was received. The detail and implications were discussed for 2 hours at the end of which the following statement was agreed by consensus.

This AGM of the British 9/11 Truth Campaign (6/7/0 Cool

has agreed on 5 actions

1) That the existing British 9/11 Truth Campaign relinquishes its current constitution and becomes instead the British 9/11 Truth Network.
2) A new body (name yet to be decided) will campaign for an independent 9/11 inquiry in consultation with others (named at the meeting) and in accordance with Ian Henshall’s proposal
3) That the current email list of the supporters of the existing 9/11 Truth campaign be managed by Noel Glynn and whoever agrees to help him.
4) The new inquiry campaign, the whole truth coalition and any other relevant bodies will seek to maintain co-operative relations.
5) It is understood that the new inquiry campaign will participate in an annual gathering of the network of campaigners and respond to feedback.

Vote of thanks to hosts, Belinda for the accounts and all present for attending.

NB. I've taken the liberty to amend Action 5 (which originally read: "It is understood that the new Inquiry campaign will facilitate annual national meetings and consultation") since it is not in the power of the meeting to say what the new organisation will or won't do and IMO it is more appropriate that a national gathering be called and facilitated by the network or others.

Those wishing to lend their support, time and skills and learn more about Ian Henshall's proposal for a political savvy campaign should contact Ian (although needless to say this is work in progress since it has only just been agreed) or watch this space....

The 'gang of four' as they are affectionately known, Annie Machon, Ian Neal, Martin Summers and Ian Henshall, who are now entirely responsible for UK 9/11 Truth Campaign, met up in London a couple of weeks ago.

Will there be any communique about decisions they have reached?

A communique from two of the Gang of Four - has anybody received Noel's 9/11 2008 anniversary newsletter? If so please post it here or elsewhere on this forum as appropriate. The anniversary is in three day's time and it's getting a bit late.

REOPEN 911

As you may know, the summer meeting of the 911 truth campaign in Bristol inaugurated several initiatives. One was a more mainstream oriented new campaign to be directed by a small team of four.

After a very busy summer we have come a long way. It is time to go public and tell you what our initiatives are so far, and ask for donations or other help.

We have added to the original four and now have an extended team of 8 people helping with organising various aspects. We have press and pr co-ordinator, and an academic co-ordinator. Ian Henshall and Ian Neal are the publicly named co-ordinators. There are no other names on this circular, as it is going out to a large number of addresses

We have a name for the Camapign Reopen 9/11 and a website provisionally up: www.reopen911uk.org. There you can see our mission statement, which is more directed at the arguments for reopening the investigation than to the detailed issues of what really happened.

We are placing a full page ad in The Independent to appear this Thursday, September 11. Here's how it will appear as three separate ads. Down the LHS, 1/4 page for Make War History (paid for by them). Over the top 1/3 of the rest, an ad announcing Reopen 911 as a campaign, mission statement appeal for funds etc. This is funded by a donor. Over the bottom two thirds, an ad for Ian Henshall's book 911 The New Evidence (funded by Ian). If more donations come in it will serve to increase the size of the reopen 911 ad and decrease the book ad.

Can you help Reopen 9/11?

Money? We are offering a free copy of Ian Henshall's first book 9/11 Revealed (co-authored with Rowland Morgan) and official supporter status for every donation of £20 or more (£10 concessions). Please send a cheque made out to Ian Henshall or call 0208 453 1144 to make a credit card payment. If you are considering a larger donation please call this number and ask to be put in touch.

Help? This is of course just as valuable. The campaign could mushroom with the right expertise. Do you have campaigning skills or experience? Do you have PR or marketing skills or experience? Skills with web marketing or database management? Would you just like to do routine work like helping to distribute leaflets?

Expertise? Do you have any expert qualifications for any of the controversial areas: piloting, building construction, police and intelligence work. If so you could give a big boost to the campaign just by crafting a statement that for the public record.

We are particularly looking for contacts in the media, the political parties, unions and the universities.

How the Reopen 9/11 develops will depend on what people offer in response to this appeal, the Indi ad and the website.

Please email us back with two or three lines on who you are and an outline of what you might be able to do to help.

If you are interested in investigating the details of what happened on 9/11 this campaign may not be for you. Other successors of the 911 Truth campaign include (Justin) and (Tony) for discussions, We Are Change for direct action, Make War History for the war crimes issues.
