He's attempting to illustrate the apparent lower height of the second plane's impact, though BrianV has conveniently cut off the lower section of the frame. Bottom line, it's an effect of the cameras perspective, relative to the buildings, which is highly misleading. They'll take anything the no planers to try to bolster their nonsensicle case.
