'If you didn’t know already, here’s the big news out of Canada:


Two weeks ago, on December 3, Member of Parliament Elizabeth May presented a petition in the House of Commons signed by 1,400 Canadians calling for parliamentary review of the omissions and inconsistencies in the 9/11 Commission Report, including the omission of forensic evidence showing that all three World Trade Center skyscrapers were brought down by controlled demolition.


Ms. May’s action represents a milestone for ReThink911 Canada, which over the past three years has been looking for a courageous MP who would agree to submit this petition.

The government of Canada now has until January 17 to respond — either by granting the requested parliamentary review or denying it. Now is our chance to draw public attention to the issue and put as much pressure as possible on the Canadian government to honor the petition’s request.

How We Get Their Attention

So far there’s been no shortage of media coverage. The first few days after the petition was submitted saw the predictable media onslaught against Elizabeth May. Then, last Wednesday, ReThink911 Canada, the 9/11 Consensus Panel, and AE911Truth got together to hold a press conference at the parliament building, which earned us a video on Global News with the neutrally-worded title “Petition asks Canadian government to review 9/11 evidence,” and a surprisingly “sort-of-balanced” article from Sun News. But this is just the beginning. For the next 30 days we have to keep the conversation going and show that there is real support for a parliamentary review of the 9/11 evidence.

A National Poll

With that goal in mind, AE911Truth and ReThink911 Canada have decided to commission a national poll to see what Canadians think about a parliamentary review of the 9/11 evidence. Like last year, we’ll be working with the online polling firm YouGov, which will allow us to survey a large sample of Canadians at a phenomenally low cost. And, by doing our poll online, we’ll be able to show respondents the destruction of WTC 7.

If last year’s results are anything to go by, a majority of those surveyed will suspect that WTC 7’s destruction was a controlled demolition, and a plurality will be in favor of a new investigation. Once we have the results early next week, we’ll blast them out to every media outlet in Canada and mail them to all 308 members of Parliament.

But we need your help to do it! This poll and the mailing will cost $2,500, a sum we cannot squeeze out of our budget right now. One dedicated supporter pledged $600 even before our appeal for funds. Will you help us raise the remaining $1,900 by tomorrow? With enough people chipping in, your modest donation of $5 or $10 or $25 is all we need to get there.

Thank you for always being prepared to help out when the time calls for it. Now let’s work together to keep spreading awareness of this landmark petition. Canada might just provide the spark we need.

'Calls to investigate 9/11 are a common refrain among conspiracy theorists who doubt the official version of events, that two airliners hijacked by al-Qaeda terrorists brought down the World Trade Center towers. Many insist the twin towers were instead brought down in a controlled demolition with the U.S. government’s prior knowledge or active participation.

May’s office did not immediately respond to a request for comment on Thursday, but the MP said on Twitter she was merely doing her job by presenting petitions submitted to her. She said it did not “convey support” for 9/11 Truther theories.

“I don’t agree with the petition,” she tweeted.

An MP is not required to present all petitions she receives, although that could be May’s personal policy. The group ReThink 911 Canada has tried for several years to get NDP MP and foreign affairs critic Paul Dewar to present the same petition in the House of Commons, but Dewar has apparently declined to do so.

Another NDP politician, deputy leader Megan Leslie, raised concern earlier this year for a 9/11 Truther event promoted on her website. She defended the Halifax event, a speech by American architect Richard Gage, on the grounds that her website acted as a community bulletin board with no oversight from her staff.

'Great News Out of Canada This Week!

The poll we commissioned last month — thanks to the generous support of so many of you — shows that Canadians are with us in supporting a parliamentary review of 9/11. Among the most important findings are:
•There is popular support and little opposition to a parliamentary review, with 33% saying they are in favor, 26% neither for nor against, and only 19% opposed. Now we will determine if Canada’s 308 Members of Parliament are willing to represent their constituents on this issue.
•Similar to our 2013 poll, almost three times as many people suspect controlled demolition rather than fires after viewing video footage of WTC 7’s destruction. More than half — 52% — are either sure or suspect it was a controlled demolition, while only 18% are sure or suspect destruction by fire.
•In terms of whom they’re more likely to trust, 45% are more inclined to believe critics of the U.S. government report, who cite evidence that explosives were used, versus only 16% who are inclined to believe the government's story.

Based on these results, it is clear that Canadian and American elected officials and members of the news media are operating in a different reality from almost everyone else.

Nevertheless, it is our mission to keep up the pressure, and these results will be of great use to 9/11 activists — particularly in Canada, where the push for a parliamentary review continues ahead of the procedurally imposed January 17th deadline. Next week we will mail the results to every Member of Parliament, while continuing to contact every Canadian media outlet.

In the House of Commons, on December 3, 2014, a constituent petition was tabled, asking for a parliamentary review of the omissions and inconsistencies in the official United States of America 9/11 Commission Report. As Former Premier of the Canadian Province of British Columbia, I believe in total transparency and can see only a benefit in Canada doing this. It is healthy and just to look openly at the facts and remove all doubts for all the 9/11 victim’s families that understandably continue to ask questions. Through an independent investigation, we can answer so many of their questions, that to date have been left unanswered, and give them their deserved peace of mind.
